That day to everybodys surprise at my home,I woke up early at 7 am. Each one staring at me like they had seen someone strange buddy wondaring in the house. I was hardly taking care of their unusual looks as I had to rush to college for my final practical exams. I was in haste to make me ready showing complete displeasure to the early morning exam timings.
Test was at 9 AM and as usual I stepped off the home at 8.30 as my bike was taking at least 30 mins to reach the college with the nearest poosible route. My route to the college was one of the busy road in the city and through my last two years of expirience I had got good command to drive my vehical from the heavy traffic. I raced to my friends house with whom I used to go to college. That day he also added 5 mins to our journey. We were really late, too late. It was common for us to bunk the first lecture for not being in time, but we had not yet tried it for final practical exams, infact we did not want to try it. I was started imagining problems we might had to face for our late journey . I was using my best skills to drive the bike as fast as I could through the pick traffic hours. We had just crossed about half of the distance and Bang!! What Happened? An elederly man wearing helmate on scooter dashed our bike. Thank God neither of us were injured but right side indicator of bike was broke into number of pieces. I was the only culprit of the incident because of driving wrong side to avoid waiting on traffic signal. Suddenly we saw affected body rushing towards us with a furious looks and we had made ready ourselves to hear some harsh words .As err was from our side there were nothing to say for us other then 'sorry'. As the person came closer we realised that his shoulders of shirt became multilated as he had silpped on the ground. He looked like a typical government servent. As he took off the helmate we were clearly able to see the angry man. His choler towards us was fully valid but we had no time to spend as we were alrady late. We apologised by neglecting his harsh words and made our way to college. The incident was wiped off our mind as this was bit common thing we found while driving through heavy traffic.
We reached college. We were late. That day was not for us , we thought. Luckily we got entry in the class room without any reluctance from lecturer. As we were about to finish the written paper, a body flashed in front of our eyes. For a minute I was standstill and speechless. Oh my God! That day was really not for us, we confirmed. That was the same man in accident who was the external lecturer for practical. Expression on my face was like I had seen any nightmare. I was tried to hide myself against him though I knew it was of no use. I had to go in front of him for viva. I had lost the hope to clear test. I was thinking myself as the most unfortunate man in the universe. As my turn is coming near and near my heart is beating faster and faster and my facial expression becomes more and more complex as well. I was helplessly begging for God that my turn should never come. As he announced my roll number a thunder cracked in my heart and I knew that it was all over. When he saw me,he was terribly shocked with same tempestuous looks on his face. When we sat face to face I had no dare to look in his eyes. Only thing I could see was his multilated shoulders.
